BRIAN J. BERGMAN was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2005. Mr. Bergman is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and all state courts in California.

Mr. Bergman's practice focuses primarily on construction, environmental, employment and general business litigation. He regularly represents public and private entities in multi-million dollar construction disputes. Brian has specific expertise in the prosecution and defense of construction claims involving delay, disruption, acceleration, stop notices, performance bond actions, and claims under the California Public Contracting Code.

Mr. Bergman also has a broad range of experience in environmental and land use litigation, including matters under CERCLA, CWA, CAA, CEQA, and state nuisance and trespass actions. Mr. Bergman has represented clients on matters before the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the California Air Resources Board, the Regional Water Quality Control Boards, the State Water Resources Control Board, and the Department of Toxic Substances Control. He is the Chair of the Land Use Committee for the South Robertson Neighborhoods Council (City of Los Angeles), and he is a co-author of California’s Coalition for Adequate School Housing ("CASH") 2009 Environmental Mitigation Handbook.

Mr. Bergman has experience defending wage and hour employment actions, and has co-authored two articles in the area of employment law, including "Defeating Class Certification" (in wage and hour actions) Los Angeles Daily Journal, Vol. 119 No. 246 (December 22, 2006), and “Collaboration Is Key to Accommodating Injured Workers” Los Angeles Daily Journal, Vol. 121 No. 190 (October 3, 2008).

Mr. Bergman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Law School in 2005. While in law school, Mr. Bergman was the Chair of the USC Hale Moot Court Honors Program and was also an extern for Central District Federal Magistrate Stephen Hillman.

He is a member of several Bar Associations.
